The 12th Lomond folk festival
This is not what I would usually Blog about,but its my local Folk Festival. This weekend is The Lomond Folk Festival 29th-31st July. So if you have nothing planned why dont you visit the lovely village of Balloch home of the Festival.
If you wish to visit for the whole weekend the campsite opens @ 3pm on Friday you cant turn up on Friday & Book in or you wish to bring the caravan or camper-van you need to reserve & book on the official web site{ by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page}
Friday Night Festival Marquee- Helensburgh & District Pipe Band, Yuptae, The O'Cajunals & Scheihallion All Starts @ 7pm.Tickets £8 [£7] concession
Saturday- & Sunday-Free stage on festival site 12-6pm With some up & coming talent local,national & International acts,BAR, food vendors,free children's celidh,children funfair,craft fair.free street entertainment including Strathleven Artizan's & folk sessions in the pubs & hotels, Clann am Drumma will also be preforming on both Sat & Sun @ 3:30pm Lomond Shores,@ 5pm Tourist Information,Balloch @ 6:30pm at the Festival Site.

DID RUPERT KNOW?
The shit has hit the fan in THE NEWS OF THE WORLD, the paper has been caught with its pants down.Its seems the phone tapping controversies are ARE WORSE THAN FIRST THOUGHT.
The question that really needs answered is? DID RUPERT KNOW? All business moguls know what is happening in their empires & I do not think for 1 minute RUPERT, did not know his Editors at NoW where up to such devious acts.
All he cares about is how many papers sell & FUCK ALL ELSE . He shits himself when ADVERTISER pull out of his paper,is he loosing sleep over people seeing their jobs go?NOPE.Do you think he cares for the people who's lives have been DESTROYED by his paper?
So RUPERT grow a pair & sack all responsible for what has happened & those at the TOP OF THE TREE, RESIGN!!!!!

PRE SCHOOL NURSERY FOR ALL CHILDREN
[NOT IF YOU ARE WORKING]
Every child is entitled to a least 2yrs at pre school nursery before starting primary one,how would you react as parent/parents finding out that your child will only get 8 months if they are lucky?
You would probably be none to happy & want answers? Well it has happened to friends of mine,their youngest is due to start school in August 2012. Because the child's birthday is early in the year they should have started 6 months ago & not starting at Three & a half.
Maybe if the system was fair the child should have started earlier,It seems as if you or your spouse works & your children are well mannered & are well behaved,then your child is penalized by your local council, because they prioritize nursery places, if you are a drug addict your child gets 2 years at nursery,if you are a single parent & not working your child gets 2 years at nursery. Unfortunately if you or your spouse works or your are a working single parent yer FUCKED.
You pay your council tax & taxes your kids are the ones being disadvantaged,this is apparently council policy. I wonder how many council employees children only get 8 months at nursery.

WHY WE MUST SAVE THE COASTGUARDS
The Coastguard Stations with in the UK are about to face disgraceful cutbacks by the present Coalition Government. The result of these cuts will leave the waters that surround our coast with out proper rescue teams & rescue co-ordination.
Eton Dave & Co plan to reduce the number of Coastguard stations from 18 to 8. Leaving 8 stations to co-ordinate search & rescue operations for the whole of the UK coastline,3 station will be maned 24/7, another 5 will be operating during the day only.
Coastguards rely on a good local knowledge of their area,that knowledge can not be programed into a computer or put on list to be read during a search & rescue.How would a coastguard in Southern England be able to co-ordinate a S&R in the waters of the North of Scotland, without that very important local knowledge.
The coalition government in Westminster are putting saving money ahead of saving lifes,what happens if there where to be a major incident in the River Clyde involving a ferry & submarine?

WHO'S LAW? WHAT LAW? OUR LAW?
UK SUPREME COURT- Is the final court of appeal in the UK for civil cases.It hears appeals in criminal cases from England,Wales & Northern Ireland.It hears cases of the greatest or constitutional importance affecting the whole population.
The above is from The UK supreme courts homepage,I ask why then is it interfering in Scots Law? Our country's Law is an unique legal system & there are substantial differences between Scots Law & English Law,also the UKSC is only to be involved in devolution issues only.
Its seems since the 5th May Election there persists to be various attempts by the establishment to cause problem after problem for the Scottish Government, If a cases is to go to appeal & the Scottish courts say No, then It must be up to Europe to give its opinion not a court set up by Westminster. I have also noticed in the press regarding a Scottish case referred to the UKSC information pertaining to this has been discussed on all media formats surely this is wrong as it may influence a jury in the event of a retrial or is it just me & my conspiracy theory's

THE CRY WAS? YOUR ARRESTED
The SNP Government,are about to fast track a new law in time for the start of the new Scottish football season, which starts in mid July 2011. Their reason is to rid Scotland of its secret shame SECTARIANISM!
This new law is supposed to stop all forms of religious hatred,but how? Its not just a football problem its society's problem. Lets start with football,the main protagonists are Glasgow's big two THE OLD FIRM for a 100+years they have played each other & when they do, all hell breaks loose. For some its the EASTER UPRISING OF 1916 for the others its THE BATTLE OF THE BOYNE 1690, why the hell are these days in history being celebrated in Scotland, when they both happened in another country.
So on a Saturday whether its IBROX PARK or CELTIC PARK you will hear the fans singing of their particular cause . It is not just confined to their own stadiums their songs of hatred are heard at away grounds through out Scotland . At some away grounds the home fans have their own songs of hatred as well,so its not just a Glasgow problem or as its often referred to as a West Coast problem.
How are these laws going to be policed? Are they going to use video evidence to catch people? What happens if someone gives their season ticket to a mate & they're mate is caught on video singing sectarian songs? If the police use snatch squads could someone could be arrested who has not being singing,how do they prove their are innocent? you'll also get the smart arse "YER HONOR THERE WUS HUNNERS DAIN IT TAE,HOW COME THEY'ER NO GETTING DONE?" Heavy fines,banning orders or jail, the clubs should be held more accountable for their fans songs.
THE CYBER WORLD, how are the police going to achieve prosecutions? If they're caught by using their own computer they're arrested. How are they going to catch others if they use Internet cafes or local libraries, second phones.I don't think many will get caught, unless they have a software program that the public don't know about. Now be careful out there one mistyped word or if you sit in the wrong seat you could GET ARRESTED!
